The sun, the heat and the fun are calling. I am excited to be able to offer this opportunity to our kids for the sixth year. Every year we play a lot of tennis, make new friends, and create lasting memories. I am excited for what 2020 brings and I hope you are too.

Accommodations

We will be staying at the Best Western/Chieftain Inn in Wenatchee, WA. This hotel has a full free breakfast every morning. We will be placing four kids to a room to lower costs. Each room will have two queen beds, so the kids can either share the bed, or bring a sleeping bag if they do not want to share. Bring a swimsuit. The hotel has an outdoor pool.

Tennis Tournament

We will be playing in the North Central Washington LocalTel Jr Champs & Challenger at the Wenatchee Racquet & Athletic Club. The tournament is from July 14-16. On the first night, the Racquet Club hosts a free BBQ for the kids. 

I would like everyone to sign up in their proper age group for singles. I would recommend your child grab a partner for doubles or play up in singles to get lots of match experience. There is also an 18&under MXD doubles division. You can only sign up for two events ONLINE. If you would like to play MXD for a third event, email me and I will work with the tournament Director to make this happen. If your child has never played in an USTA Tournament, I suggest you enter them in the Intermediate level. For those of you who do play USTA tournaments, I will let you decide what level you would like to play. Remember, our goal on this trip is to have fun and play as much tennis as possible.

The second link is where you can sign up as a junior USTA member. It is only $20 and you will receive Tennis Magazine free and get discounts like an AAA card would. Once everyone has signed up, I will send an email to the Tourney director letting him know which kids are ours.

Dining

As I have mentioned above, the Best Western will have a free breakfast each morning. On Tuesday night, the Tournament hosts will be providing a free BBQ. This will help in lowering dining costs. You must provide the rest of the meals. Typical lunches will be at Subway type establishments. Dinners at pizza and Red Robin type of restaurants. My car will also be packed with lots of snacks, fruit, Gatorade, and water for the duration of our trip and intended for the kids to eat/drink.
